Unlike necklaces and bracelets, earrings require a rite of passage. To wear pierced earrings, at some
point, one actually has to have her or his ears pierced. Maybe it was courtesy of a chum with a needle,
some rubbing alcohol and good intentions, maybe it was courtesy of a kind, steady-handed employee
at a Piercing Pagoda kiosk in a mall, or these days, maybe it was courtesy of a kit ordered from Amazon, but
the end result is the same: throbbing ears that eventually provide the landscape for some awesome
accessories.
Most of the earrings offered are on the longer side ( > 1.5") though choice of lightweight
materials keeps them comfortable. For earwires, I use sterling silver or sterling-silver filled
and 14kt gold-fill, and occassionally I'll use copper or copper-plated earwires. If you have a question
concerning metal sensitivity, just ask and I'll be happy to find an answer.
