The origin of the phrase
"cloud nine" in connotation with happiness is somewhat uncertain, but
could be from the 1896 edition of the Cloud Atlas that defined ten types of clouds,
with cloud nine being the highest (closest to heaven?) layer. The bracelet is 7"
long with a sterling silver toggle clasp and the earrings are 2.5" with sterling
silver earwires. The stones are peach calcite, a lovely lightweight carbonate
mineral, and dark hematite. Artisans at Unicorne Beads make the stunning glass teardrops
with deep, undulating color and great feel; it's these beads that are the source of the name
because it's impossible to hold them without being a little happier.

Peach calcite is a lovely soft shade of stone, but it is soft and relatively easy to crack and
break. For this reason,
it's recommended to keep this set out of reach of curious hands. As with
