In Norse mythology, this giantess of the storm-home Thrymheim went to find her father who had been
tricked and killed by Loki and others of Asgard. Fearing her wrath, they offered her gold, which
she refused for a husband and a bellyful of laughter. And so she chose Njord
(based on his feet) but neither could stand the house of the other; her home was in the icy
mountains and his by the rocking sea. They lived apart, and she hunted wild animals as
she crossed her mountainous home in great skis. The blue calcite gemstones in these 3.5" drop
earrings are like the icy teeth of her terrains, accompanied by hammered sterling silver
