The phrase "green thumb" applied to horticultural acumen appeared in English publications and broadcasts around WWII to encourage home gardening, though its origins may be older. Generally, having a "green thumb" means that one has a knack for growing plants of all kinds. These 2" dangle earrings are not green, but they feature wood, a lovely product of green life. The walnut leaves are imbedded with metal foil, and they are attached to patina brass drops and paired with rustic wood beads. The ear wires are silver-plated brass tapered hooks.
