In Norse and old Germanic mythology, Nerthus is the female counterpart to Njordor and both are the gods of creation and fertility. Nerthus is mother to Freyr and Freya, the goddess of love and beauty with a cat drawn chariot. This adjustable 20"-24" necklace features high quality hand blown borosilicate glass teardrops in sea-like blues and greens. These are strung on steely gray satin cord with wood bead and brushed silver, combining earthy elements and organic shapes into a terrific accessory for the power of creation. The length adjusts by pulling on the ends of the satin cords.
