The gold-plated brass pendant shows cartouches of prenomen (throne names) for
two famous pharaohs, Tutankhamun and Ramesses II. One side (with the scarab) is
the throne name for Tutankhamun "Lord of the forms of Re" and the other side is the
the throne name for Ramesses II "Strong in truth is Re, chosen of Re".
Prenomen and nomen (personal names) were often carved together in cartouches on
monuments. This 1 1/2" pendant hangs from a yellow-pink hand-dyed crinkled silk
32" ribbon that can be tied a variety of lengths, for close to the neck to
mid-chest.
Cost: $20.00 USD
