In this necklace, the top strand holds a single tile representing the single bit for a Boolean type; the middle strand holds 16 tiles reprenting the 16 bits in an unsigned short type; and the bottom strand holds 32 tiles of different colors representing the 23 bits of the mantissa, 8 bits of the exponent, and single bit for the sign of a float type. The tiles are coated Japanese seedbeads, known for their exacting uniformity, strung with more irregular Hill Tribe silver nuggets on coated bronze wire.
