The Zodiac refers to constellations found within a nine degree strip of sky straddling the ecliptic, the
plane of the Earth's orbit about the Sun. Although it is the Earth that moves, the Sun appears to move
thoughout the different zodiac constellations. The origins of the Zodiac and the twelve divisions of
the year date back to the Assyrian-Babylonian astrologers in approximately 2,700 BCE, who likely adopted
the idea in Central Asia. This package includes the twelve signs of the Zodiac and four general zodiac
designs.
Cards are printed with
archival inks on heavy cardstock paper and include matching envelopes, and purchase
options include all 16 designs, the first half, and the second half.
