Luna moths are known for their large green wingspan with eyespots, and their distinctive
wingshape is more than attractive -- the moths spin their wingtips in circles to disorient the
bats hoping to make the moths their next meal. Though the caterpillars are strong eaters, luna
moths have no digestive system and live for only about a week, flying during the night to meet
a mate before the end of their all to brief adult life. The luna moth pendant is solid bronze with
fine details and 3D structure, and it hangs between two moon-like coin beads of rainbow moonstone.
The chain is 14kt gold-fill fine but strong rolo chain and fastens with a medium lobster claw clasp.
