When I sat down to create a necklace using flag-inspired colors, I thought "why not use different
materials and shapes too?". I liked the padparadscha color of the Swarovski crysal though it's more orange-red
than the bold red of the flag, and the combination with the coin pearl and deep blue of the faceted lapis
lazuli gemstone looks great. The pieces are wrapped with 14kt gold-fill wire and hung from a delicate
rose gold vermeil chain secured with an intricate copper clasp. The 18" princess length places the
chain around or below the collar bone with the pendant on the sternum and close to the heart.
