The "Eye of Horus" is an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection related to a struggle between Horus (falcon god of the sky with eyes of the sun and moon) and Set (god of war in the form of a jackal) where Horus lost an eye that was later restored by Hathor. The symbol is often used in amulets for its restorative power in healing. The gold-plated brass pendant features a stylized symbol with a cobra and hieroglyphics, and it contrasts beautifully with the deep indigo of lapis lazuli in this 20" necklace with gold-plate components including a toggle clasp.
