Technically, every day is "casual Friday" for most people in Tucson, but if we imagine "casual Friday" as a state of mind rather than an actual day, then the idea behind this 17" necklace is relaxation and fun. It features the colors and some materials of the Southwest - salmon mesas, turquoise, antiqued silver - in a happy jumble of pearls, beads and chips. It's a great accent for a light colored tee or the necklace can be doubled and worn as a wrap bracelet.

  • Bali silver beads
  • sterling silver toggle clasp
  • Soft Flex moderate duty nylon coated stainless steel cord (30 lb. load test)

Care & cleaning: Beading cord may be kinked or broken through hard jerks or severed through prolonged exposure to rough or sharp edges; store necklace flat when not in use to prevent stretching or kinking cord. Clean with warm soapy water and avoid chemical or abrasive cleaners. Use a soft jewelry polishing cloth to clean tarnish appearing on silver.

The beads and beading cord should withstand determined toddler tugs and pulls, but care should be taken not to crush the turquoise and pearl components because they could break. As with all beaded jewelry: do not let young toddlers chew on it.
