The philosophy behind an annual subscription is effortless enjoyment of new jewelry that's a reflection
of terrific new artists and fashion trends. The annual subscription consists of three shipments: spring, fall and
a special date of your choosing; it can be a birthday, anniversary, or any day you'd like to mark with a
nice jewelry gift. The spring shipment focuses on jewelry artisans I find at shows or online, and the
jewelry item will generally be a great pendant or cool earrings. The fall shipment focuses on what has been popular
or unusual on the fall runways. As I've been following the trends, I will say that I haven't noticed huge season to
season variations, but it's fun to interpret what's shown to what one might actually wear! The shipment might
include a bold statement piece, a versatile classic with a modern twist, or a seasonal color. The special shipment
is for a date you specify, and it will feature smaller-scale jewelry that's a delight for all seasons.
When selecting an annual subscription, there's various restrictions to consider. The default selection is
"No restrictions" meaning that the shipments may contain necklaces, earrings or bracelets in
any metal or stone. "No silver" means the shipments will contain jewelry without sterling silver,
sterling silver fill or silver plate components in the design. Generally, this means the default metal in the
designs will be gold-fill. Likewise "No gold" means sterling silver will be the most common metal used.
I tend to use those metals the most, but I do use copper and other alloys unless the "No copper/bronze/brass"
restriction is selected. Also, for those without pierced ears, there is the "No earrings" option; shipments
will be restricted to necklaces or bracelets. If there are other restrictions you'd like to consider on the

Summary of annual subscription restrictions:
- No restriction Shipments can include necklace, bracelet or earrings in any
metal or stone.
- No silver Jewelry designs will contain metals other than sterling silver; this
can include gold-fill, copper, bronze or brass.
- No gold Jewelry designs will contain metals other than gold-fill; this can
include sterling silver, copper, bronze or brass.
- No copper/bronze/brass Jewelry designs will contain metals other than copper, bronze
or brass; this can include sterling silver and gold-fill.
- No earrings Shipments can include necklace or bracelet in any metal or stone.
The Special Occasion drop-down menu indicates the reason behind the special date, and this will be used
to select an accompanying card with the gift. If you prefer not to say, select "Just because".
Enter the date for the special occasion in the text field as well as the recipient. Note: if you would like
to change the special occasion and/or recipient in following years, please

An annual subscription focuses on jewelry, and for fun there will be a card or two in a shipment. However, if
you would like to reverse this ratio and focus on cards instead, then try this
annual subscription. There is one shipment including 25 cards (you select a content category) and
a piece of jewelry. The default content category is a mix of cards across all the lines
(Val's Pals, Had Matter Line, River Stone Designs) and includes birthday cards, holiday cards, thank you
cards, and blank cards. For a selection of cards from a particular card line, select the option for
that line; for example, "Val's Pals only". You can also choose birthday cards only (cards
across product lines), holiday cards only or blank cards only.

- Mix of all card lines Shipment includes variety of cards (birthday, holiday, thank
you, blank) from each of the card lines (no duplicates).
- Val's Pals only Shipment includes variety of cards (birthday, holiday, thank
you, blank) from Val's Pals card line (some duplicates; at least 10 unique designs).
- Had Matter Line only Shipment includes variety of cards (birthday, holiday, blank)
from Had Matter card line (some duplicates; at least 10 unique designs).
- River Stone Designs only Shipment includes blank cards from River Stone Designs card line
(some duplicates; at least 10 unique designs).
- Birthday cards only Shipment includes birthday cards from Val's Pals, Had Matter Line,
and River Stone Designs (some duplicates; at least 10 unique designs).
- Holiday cards only Shipment includes holiday cards from Val's Pals, Had Matter Line,
and River Stone Designs (some duplicates; at least 10 unique designs).
- Blank cards only Shipment includes blank cards or "just because" from
Val's Pals, Had Matter Line, and River Stone Designs (some duplicates; at least 10 unique designs).
