Some days could use a toothy bite, and the cut, polished trapezoidal dumortierite gemstones in this 19" necklace are happy to oblige. Dumortierite is a hard aluminum boro-silicate, similar to tourmaline. It is commonly a rich dark blue but rarely can be pink or violet. The gemstones in this necklace have been cut in irregular trapezoids and they are spaced with squares of labradorite and pyrite nuggets. The gaps between stones give it a toothy appearance as a statement necklace. Clasp is a antiqued brass barrel magnetic clasp.
