The Zen parable "The Muddy Road" tells of a man caught between a
chasing tiger and a cliff. As he ponders his
dilemma, he sees luscious ripe strawberries growing nearby. He eats some and
they are delicious. In life, amidst tigers and certain death, it's important to
see and enjoy the strawberries. This lesson is conveyed in the analogy
strawberry:tiger::life:death: life must be savored in the presence of
impending death. Simple stained wood bezels each contain a watercolor design
with the analogy in a pendant suspended from soft, supple hand-dyed silk ribbon.
The rose colored ribbon is 24" and the navy blue colored ribbon is 36".
The blue ribbon has a small silver buckle to aid length adjustment.
