Larimar is a rare blue gemstone found only in the Dominican Republic of the Caribbean. It is a blue variety of the mineral pectolite and sought by collectors. Its relative scarcity has driven a higher cost for an otherwise unassuming gemstone of mottled pale blue. The coloring and pattern are reminiscent of serene days under summer skies. This oblong gemstone cabochon is set in a sterling silver pendant that is a mixture of sweeping swirls and firm lines. Pendant is approximately 2" long and hangs from a 2mm squared snake sterling silver 18" chain with spring ring clasp.
