As the gemstone name implies, moonstone is associated with the moon and lunar properties of
mystery, intuition, and fertility. Moonstone is an orthoclase feldspar, on the potassium-bearing side of the
alkali feldspar group. Feldspars are relatively robust stones (Mohs hardness of 6) but softer than quartz
and other brilliant gemstones. This moonstone cabochon is approximately 3/4" and set
in sterling silver. The 1 1/2" pendant hangs gracefully from a sterling silver
18" Boston-link chain with spring ring clasp.
