In the Zen story A Parable, a man flees from a tiger by grabbing a vine and jumping over a precipice only to be confronted with another tiger below him, also waiting to eat him. As he considers the tiger above and the tiger below, he spots a strawberry growing on the vine - how sweet it tasted! The analogy of strawberry:tiger::life:death refers to the sweetness of the moment, of life in the face of our certain demise. The Hanah Silk™ ribbon is 100% silk that has been cut on the bias and hand-dyed for superior drape and pigment variations. The pendant is sterling silver with an adhesive glaze over the paper for protection from wear and weather; note that submerging the pendant and/or hand-dyed silk ribbon could lead to discoloring.

Care & cleaning: Remove the pendant from the silk and hand wash the silk ribbon in cool water with mild soap. Clean the pendant with a damp washcloth (do not submerge) and avoid chemical or abrasive cleaners. Use a soft jewelry polishing cloth to clean tarnish appearing on silver.

The silk ribbon is surprisingly strong but care should be taken with the pendant. As with all jewelry: do not let young toddlers chew on it.
