Regardless of the name, bronzite contains no bronze; it is an iron-rich enstatite mineral (a pyroxene mineral)
and member of the inosilicate group. The silica tetrahedra are organized in chains, often leading to a
fibrous appearance and well defined cleavage planes. These cleavage surfaces exhibit a metallic sheen or
schiller from fine layers of iron oxides and hydroxides. Although bronzite has nothing to do with
bronze or the Bronze Age, it is a delightful material full of shimmer and the design is a classic one that
will complement a variety of styles. Better would be "Bronzite Age", a time in which a wearer
is drawn to unusual iron-rich gemstones. The Swarovski crystal and Czech glass
underscore the warm hues of the stones.

The beading cord is quite strong, and the bronzite stones are relatively hard. The necklace
should be robust to tugging hands, but since the stones are large, care should be taken that
the stones do not rub too much against the beading cord which can weaken or sever it.
As with all beaded jewelry: do not let young toddlers chew on it.
