The original idea was the swooping loops were a representation of angel wings. However, after reading Ted Chiang's story of angel visitations as events of great power and often destruction, I can't help but see atomic symbology too; not necessarily nuclear, but simply the power implied in atomic organization. On a separate note, I'm enjoying the flexibility from using longer cords with pendants that may be tied close to the neck in a choker style or left long.

Care & cleaning: The pendant should be cleaned with a warm soapy cloth but should not be submerged in water to prevent leeching of the pendant design. The pendant can be removed from the cord and the silk cord may be washed and dried separately. Hand wash with warm water with mild soap and allow to dry. Avoid chemical or abrasive cleaners and use a soft jewelry polishing cloth to clean tarnish appearing on silver.

Although the necklace is robust to tugs and pulls, care should be taken with the silver bail on the pendant as it can bend or break. As with all beaded jewelry: do not let young toddlers chew on it.

The silk cord can be tied or secured a number of ways for great versatility, and it can even be worn as a wrap bracelet.
