This chunky 16" necklace features ruby in fuchsite nuggets knotted on a cotton-blend cord for terrific drape and fastened with a sterling silver magnetic clasp. Fuchsite is a green variety of muscovite mica that is found in concentric, curved aggragates, and ruby in fuchsite appears as red gemstone within a green matrix, often ringed with blue-green kyanite. These dark nuggets have a mottled appearance, and their chunky shape reflects relaxed, natural stype.

Care & cleaning: Beading cord may be frayed or severed through hard jerks or prolonged exposure to rough or sharp edges; store necklace flat when not in use to prevent stretching or fraying cord. Clean with warm soapy water and avoid chemical or abrasive cleaners. Use a soft jewelry polishing cloth to clean tarnish appearing on metal.

The materials and cord in this necklace are robust to most tugs and pulls, but care should be taken to prevent hard impacts which can damage the softer gemstone. As with all beaded jewelry: do not let young toddlers chew on it.
