Links in our online world are ubiquitious: webpages, social media feeds, payment, references, everything just a click away. Links connect us to physical places too; a network of trams, subways, and streetcars take us where we need to be. Silver-plated brass discs link the fuchsia furnace glass beads with the veined limestone beads like ligaments connecting our finger bones in this 18" necklace of simple links and stones. Furnace glass, or cane glass, is a kind of lampwork glass that is drawn from heated glass canes rather than blown. The beads are strung on strands of nylon coated stainless steel cord connected with a silver torsion clasp. These sleek, clever clasps open with a twisting motion under slight pressure.

If this item is going to be a gift, enter the gift recipient name in the text box when you add this item to your cart. If your entire order is going to one recipient (yourself or other), no other action is needed and you can specify the shipping address in PayPal checkout. However, if you would like multiple recipients in the same order, we can accommodate that! Before you check out, make sure to add a gift box to your cart for each gift recipient in your order. You will be charged $4.95 USD for each recipient other than yourself and you'll need to add the recipient name and address to the gift box text field. Also, each recipient can receive multiple items for the same $4.95 gift box fee; just continue to specify their name when adding items to your cart.

Length: necklace - 18"

Materials:

  • furnace glass beads
  • limestone beads
  • silver-plated brass discs
  • silver-plated brass torsion clasp
  • nylon coated stainless steel cord

Care & cleaning: Clean with warm soapy water and avoid chemical or abrasive cleaners. Use a soft jewelry polishing cloth to clean tarnish appearing on metal.

The materials in this necklace are robust to tugs and pulls from young hands, but the hard impacts may cause the glass beads to chip or break. As with all beaded jewelry: do not let young toddlers chew on it.

This mid-length 18" necklace wears well with higher necklines and thinner materials, and its low profile means it fits easily under jackets.
