Joie de Vivre jewelry

The Romans were heavily influenced by Greek mythology and adapted Greek gods and goddesses for their own. Thus Juno is Hera, with all her rage and jealousy, and Zeus is Jupiter. This 16" necklace of labradorite rounds and pyrite coins is classic style for a Roman goddess. Brushed gold plate petals and 14kt gold-fill beads are spacers between the glowing, dark beads. The necklace fastens nicely with a 24kt gold vermeil toggle clasp. Labradorite is a feldspar variety structured with parallel planes reflecting light in a fascinating schiller effect, and pyrite is a sulfide sometimes confused with gold because of its high density and golden color.
