Imperial topaz is a rare gemstone golden to reddish-orange in color found in regions like Ouro Preto, Brazil.
Topaz is an aluminum nesosilicate that can be mistaken for diamond when brilliant cut. The imperial topaz gemstones in this
19" necklace are smooth rondelles, varying from colorless to warm orange brown. The lower strand is edged with
three burgundy colored freshwater pearls, and the inner strand features imperial topaz rondelles, freshwater pearls,
and crazy lace agate rounds. The beads are strung on natural silk and spaced with delicate Japanese glass seedbeads.
The strands are secured to a sterling silver long oval chain and fastened with a spring
ring clasp.
