In Muddy Road two monks are traveling and one helps an
attractive young woman cross a river (contact with women considered unwise and dangerous).
In the analogy woman:cargo::deviation:rule, considering the woman as cargo ponders the
role of deviations to the rule. The simple act of helping a person across a river was a kind
act but against the rules for the monks. Taken literally, "exceptional" is forming
an exception, but more commonly, we use it to describe an outstanding quality such as showing
kindness over strict adherence. The 1" sterling silver pendant features a watercolor design with
the analogy, and the design is protected with a water-resistant glaze. The pendant hangs from
an 18" sterling silver rolo chain and lobster claw clasp.
