Chrome diopside takes its bright bottle green color from chromium within the chain silicate. Emerald is a better known and more precious gemstone, but good quality chrome diopside is valuable in its own way for its rarity and unusual color. The 3mm faceted round gemstones in this 20"-22" multistrand necklace are the highest grade and sparkle with deep green color. The strands end with peacock color freshwater rice pearls, secured to sterling silver circular link chain. The necklace fastens with a large spring ring clasp, and extra chain means the length can be adjusted between 20" and 22." The gemstones are lightweight and strung on natural silk for the most flexible drape.

Care & cleaning: Clean with a warm soapy water and avoid chemical or abrasive cleaners. Use a soft jewelry polishing cloth to clean tarnish appearing on metal.

Although the gemstones in this necklace are generally robust to harm from tugs and pulls, the natural silk cord can be stretched and distorted with hard, sustained directional pulls. For this reason, it's recommended to keep the necklace out of reach of young hands. As with all beaded jewelry: do not let young toddlers chew on it.
