The amazonite stones in this necklace are big, each roughly 1.5"-3" across, and they add a strong statement to a power outfit. The matrix in the stones is black tourmaline, a harder mineral often found in granite pegamites in which the microcline feldspar (amazonite) can form. The large sterling silver lobster clasp can be used with any of the chain links, making the necklace length adjustable.

Care & cleaning: Beading cord may be kinked or broken through hard jerks or severed through prolonged exposure to rough or sharp edges; store necklace flat when not in use to prevent stretching or kinking cord. Clean with warm soapy water and avoid chemical or abrasive cleaners. Use a soft jewelry polishing cloth to clean tarnish appearing on silver.

Not only are the components in this necklace big, but they are strong too. The beading cord has a 40 lb strength test and the amazonite stones have moderate hardness, which can sustain some tugs and drops without cracking. As with all beaded jewelry: do not let young toddlers chew on it.

Not all jewelry - particularly beaded jewelry - work well with all necklines. This is a large scale necklace that will look its best against solid colors with higher necklines. It was designed with the thought of wearing over a work shell and under a blazer. It would also work with an open collar shirt where some of the necklace would still show prominently.
