The mint jasper in this 18" necklace resembles mint chocolate after dinner mints. Peppermint is said to soothe digestion, which is perhaps why some restaurants offer mints after a meal. "After Eights" were chocolate and mint fondant mints created in the 1960s by Rowntree and Company, a British confectionery company that has since been acquired by Nestle, the Swiss conglomerate. The natural 30mm gemstone coin bead hangs from a satin matte gold-plated brass 4mm rolo chain for an easygoing and economical accessory. The necklace fastens with a gold-plated brass lobster claw.
