This is an example of a necklace that is a beautiful experiment. I was working with glass cabachons and various adhesives; the challenge is to find a durable non-toxic adhesive that dries clear. Thankfully, there are several to choose from, but this pendant bears the hallmarks of trying new materials: the air bubbles appeared as the cabochon-bezel pair dried. The bubbles interfere with the underlying analogy on equivalence or equal measures of head and heart, but they do so in such a lovely way they became part of the design. The 3/4" pendant is paired with edged silk ribbon in crisp pastels for an overall sweetly effervescent feel.

Care & cleaning: Clean with warm soapy washcloth (do not submerge) and avoid chemical or abrasive cleaners. Use a soft jewelry polishing cloth to clean tarnish appearing on silver.

Both the silk ribbon and pendant are robust to loving hands, but the pendant will slide off the silk ribbon and could present a serious choke hazard. As with all beaded jewelry: do not let young toddlers chew on it.

The silk ribbon can be tied or secured a number of ways for great versatility, and it can even be worn as a wrap bracelet.
